Eventhough I bought premium I cant seem to get over 1. Please help! The text was updated successfully, but these errors were encountered:. Please have a look at the below help article which may hopefully help you debug your connection. Please keep in mind that this is only relevant if you're getting the same sort of speed on both Vortex AND the website. Sorry, something went wrong. Just bought premium yet my downloads are capping out at 45 kbs.

My internet usually downloads at 5mbs just wondering what the problem is. I have read through hundreds of complaints about the download speed and not one person has offered a solution nor has it been solved apparently. Steps to reproduce: Download a mod through Mod Manager Download, happening with every mod. Download speed with NMM was stable 1 MBps now with Vortex it is less than 30 KBps, it is not usable I decided to just get premium to have no download cap. I have restarted vortex, restarted my pc and nothing seemed to have worked. Download speed is not limited by Vortex - at all. Even the non-premium cap isn't. That's all under control of the server.

Vortex Version: 0. Best regards, Weston. My internet is fine and I know my firewall isn't interfering with it in any way. Now I can't even do that. Inspect:: mod failed to downlaod due to a time out sorry cant remember the exact wording and i couldnt copy and past from the Inspect pop up info. com took too long to respond. I'm getting an odd issue where I have paid for premium download speeds, and get those when I am manually downloading from the nexus server. I've tried letting it through the firewall but I'm unsure of what else could be the problem. I'm unsure if this is a temporary speed issue, as it's only being affected by downloading through vortex and it's been happening since yesterday. I'm aware that the solution would be to just download manually and install from file, but if there is anything I could try to fix it that would be great.

Once again, sorry if this is the wrong form to report this potential bug. A very painfully slow experience as downloading anything at that speed takes a long time, and I know it's not my internet connection because if I download manually I don't have this problem. Is this issue still affecting anyone? I'm just getting back into skyrim with a few new mods and finally thought I'd grab the dragonborn dlc, and the unofficial patch from the nexus, but daaamn, the download speed is like kbs.

Its due to the sales of programs they host mods of. Happens every time. oh please explain in more depth. How do the sales of the games they host mods for affect download speeds? I know they are capped at 1mbs if you aren't premium but that isn't an issue for me. Issue is 5kbs, which is what I remember from dialup ' Sure, I'll pull an indepth explaination out of my arse, wash it off and hand it to you. Just like all steam forums then. Full of aggressive people being pricks.

I wasn't being a smartarse. Thanks dude. Then use some of your experiance to fill in the gaps. Traditionally IP's supply bandwith and not overall data transfer values. If bandwith is at capacity then the IP throttles total volume. The site then reduces the capacity of total data transfers or reduces the available amount of transfers occuring. Asking for excessive experiance based information within a gaming forum is like requesting an explaination of aspartame production at the chewing gum factory in a HPLC discussion group. Sure they are related. no, not really. lastly, for someone who used dialup back in '98 or 16 years ago, you should of had much thicker skin. Last edited by Improper Use ; 15 Sep, am. A bunch of new people buy the game or they get the DLC that they are missing and run to Nexus for the Unofficial patches, ENB settings and a ton of other mods.

The influx of people is just to big for the Nexus servers to handle. Also, Nexus has had troubles in the past with hackers that tried to shut the servers down by overloading it there is a technical term for this but i keep forgetting it. The team has come up with solutions but maybe they are having a new hit on the servers. That would also trouble the legit users. If you keep having trouble downloading stuff, you could wait for a few days and try again. Hope this helps a bit in explaining stuff. And for Improper Use, see how hard that was darling? There are posts like this all the time, and the reason steam forums are generally viewed upon as cancer or toxic is when people like you decide to post.

Thick skin?

I'm having a real problem with Nexus being so slow and laggy that I cannot click on mods to install them. I should emphasize: I am NOT having a problem with download speeds. I am NOT talking about starting the game. I am specifically talking about attempting to click on Nexus Mod Manager itself in order to activate mods that I have installed, and the time it takes for NNM to actually activate ranges from "several seconds" to "freezes up. Showing 1 - 2 of 2 comments. You should get Vortex. its literally the new NMM and works much better. I just logged in to say that I had checked out Vortex. It's a lot better in every possible way! Now I just have to wait for F4SE to update again might as well look into some other moddable games while I wait.
